A Mid-Week Escape guest writes:

"As artists, we really appreciate what you have created at Aaron Burr House...a warm and friendly inn, knowledgeable (and smiling) staff and great service! Breakfast - in - Bed was such a treat for us. May was an ideal month to hike through the WildFlower Preserve and stroll through some Covered Bridges too. Your in-town location is ideal to do a little exploring and come back to rest before going back out for lunch...Our only real surprise was the great selection of live music that New Hope has at night during the week (does anyone have a real job around here?)...Thank you for pointing us to the best spots for live entertainment...."
Faith and Joe, May '03

Adjacent to the Wedgwood House is the Umpleby House, a circa 1833 Classic Revival plaster-over-stone manor house, on the National Registry of Historic Places. Each one of the inn's eight guest accommodations has a distinct personality. Rooms are graced with fresh-cut flowers all year long and are hand-painted / stenciled by a New Hope artist. Guest rooms feature antiques, original art, scented English soaps, plush towels, extra pillows plus brass ceiling fans, and some have private porches, 2 person Jacuzzi tubs, and/or fireplaces.

"The R&R we both needed. Hooray for old-fashioned comfort, service and friendliness, we're converted! Thank you for being here."

- Two jaded New Yorkers

"A New Hope treasure. Innkeepers make stay as pleasant as surroundings"

- M.& B. (Teaneck, NJ)

Across the street is our Aaron Burr house, an 1873 “Painted Lady,” one block from New Hope's center in historic Bucks County.  Each one of the inn's seven guest accommodations has a distinct personality, hand painted / stenciled by a New Hope artist and features antiques, private bath, and air conditioners. All have Queen or King size beds, most have brass ceiling fans, and some have four poster lace canopy beds and/or fireplaces.  Serving business and leisure travelers since 1990.  Ideal for small business meetings and special events under 20 people.

The Aaron Burr House was “Voted Best of Philly” 2005 – 2006 as a Bed and Breakfast Inn by the readers and editors of Philadelphia Magazine.

Great Anniversary Weekend

Hi there!

We just got home after celebrating our 2nd anniversary together this weekend at the Umpleby House. We had a wonderful time! We've also stayed at the Aaron Burr House in the past - everytime we stay we just love it! The rooms are perfect, breakfast is delicious, and the hospitality is always so nice! Thank you so much for making our weekend special!

All the best,
