Hortulus Farm Nursery and Gardens
Founded by Renny Renolds, it is a 100 acre, 18th Century farmstead and nursery operation, located just outside of New Hope.

Gardeners and Plant Enthusiasts

Enjoy New Hope's  "Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve" all times of the year.  In mid - September, the Tohicon Garden Club holds its annual standard "Tohickon Flower Show " in conjunction with the "Bucks County Antiques Show."  Also in September is the much celebrated "Heronswood Fall Planting Open" at the private Fordhork Farm.   Many plants for sale are from Heronswood's private library of unusual and treasured species, as well as uncommon gathered-in-the-wild plants not available to the general public as well as not-yet-released Heronswood - bred hellebores.  Of course, the grand indoor "Philadelphia Flower Show" is held every year in March.  "Longwood Gardens" is another premier destination in the region.   Make your Reservations now.  

The Lavender at Carousel Farm
​Located in rural New Hope, features 100 + acres and historic buildings surrounded by lavender fields.  Harvested in May and June, the smell is spectacular!  They make a lot of their own products from their organically grown Lavender and have a small gift shop within  a c. 1760 stone outbuilding.  Open on Saturdays to the public from 9 - 5 pm.  (Innkeeper Dinie leads private tours for small groups at times too.)

Southeastern PA has many lovely gardens and perennial farms open to the general public. Wedgwood Inn offers bed and breakfast lodging near all these flower shows rare plant auctions, perennial farms and plant sales.

Paxson Hill Farm in rural New Hope
A hidden treasure of 100 plus acres of annuals, perenials, herbs, vegetables, tropicals, shrubs, vines, pond plants and exotic fish.....amid formal gardens, a maze and Llamas, turkeys and peacocks!  Owner Bruce Gangawer is a Horticulturalist.  Open t/o the week.
